USA studying experience

What i like about studying in USA- the enthusiatic class participation
- it seems so easy here to pass a driving test n own a car!esp so if u've got a scholarship. i wann!!
- there r more activities here to do over the weekend. ice skating is quite cheap! 1usd per entry. can always go travelling to neighbouring towns etc. and everynow n then, there r activities in hall or performances to watch. (maybe singapore also has, but i always nv bother to attend aha)
- they got much nicer pizzas, chocolates, yogurts and subways n pancakes here! ahah.
- i like the fact that there's 4 seasons here. cuz u get to wear a wider variety of clothes (if u have money la), cuz sg is too hot to attempt to wear long sleeves on the streets, and the malls r too cold to just wear a tanktop there -_- and the winter is cooling, at times veh cold, but i get to play with snow!
- i like how the americans here can rattle off their thoughts as they speak, so much more eloquent than us. but they do have some kind of accent, and sometimes its hard to understand wat they r trying to say. (i bet they feel the same towards us)
- the students here r not as weak in mathematics i though. in fact some r better than us!!
- i meet more different people here than in NTU. in NTU everywhere u go, u see a chinese, malay or indian. there r HK/mainland/taiwan/malaysian/sg chinese, koreans, spanish babes & hunks, europeans, latinos! cool.
- friday night is really the official party day in school! unlike in sg, we mug over the weekends, in addition to our schooling weekdays.
What I dont like about studying in USA- the cost of living is much higher than SINGAPORE. textbooks can cost freaking 100usd per book. fainted- i appreciate my textbooks more in sg n i will complain less next time when i buy books in sg.
- the mobile plans here r so not worth it! we r being charged for incoming calls n incoming SMS!! wth. ok maybe cuz we bought prepaid cards aha.
- i dont like winter here, because i get dry lips, dry hands & feet and lots of static!!
- the people here r really individualistic (trust me), not only do they go for lessons alone usually, they dont really seek others opinions while doing project.
- i tink singaporean students r better at making powerpoint slides and doing solid project work. i carn help but feel that the students here can only talk their way through.
alright i will keep revising this list till e end of my exchange!
