i promised to update my blog more often, but sometimes i really feel so lazy to pour everything out here. haha. so here i am today, ready to update my blog! i shall skip the LA/hollywood/las vegas trip, since the pictures on facebook tell everything. instead, i shall talk more abt illinois!
have been here for about a week alr, since then we have been going to set up bank account, buy mobile line,check out the sch area, report to sch, settle admin stuff etc. we also went exploring food places near our sch, which is basically along the green street and some canteens. but there r some nice eateries too! check out facebook pics:) meanwhile, we also go shopping, went WALMART and MEIJER for groceries and finally saw forever21 at marketplace! but din buy anything, cuz i really scared run out of money! will just keep a lookout for nice things :)
at the sametime, i'm learning to be more independent! we have been cooking for a few nights alr, can really cook rice with microwave, maggie mee, sausages, pasta, veggie, campbell soup, herbal soup, egg etc. i feel so proud of myself seriously! next time when i'm in sg, as long as i have a microwave, i tink i will be able to survive! haha. also, i have been washing clothes on my own! handwash sia. can be tiring, but save some laundry money.
first day of lessons today! was pretty aprehensive, cuz most of them r angmohs. n i'm still trying to fix my timetable! headache! although i can clear bf307, research methods n strategic management, but i need one more finance n econs module! n textbooks r expensive! one finance book can happily cost $100 usd! fainted. hope to get cheaper ones from sg then ship over, or buy used ones from ebay or amazon la. i wan to get my debit card here soon! then i can start buying stuff from usa ahha/ online shopping!! but then, i set up 3 bank accounts until i tink i will lose track of the money inside.
have been seeing snow everyday since we came. but only 2 days we saw flurries n small snow falling! it was really a nice sight. but usually dont have time to stay arnd n enjoy the sights,either rushing for classes or too cold to stand there. will attempt to take pretty photos! n we build snowman too, to not much of success. it was too small, n head not proportionate to body. we also had snowfight, which is really fun when everybody took part in it!! haha. snowfight actually took place while we were waiting for the stupid bus to come! haha.see how lame we can get.
